On a first look, one might assume that there are two different pictures here. I myself did, anyway. But then it dawned on me that the left sides of the two images are not just similar, they are identical, and that she must have ruthlessly stripped the other side of the canvas in order to put in what is now there. She was obviously her own severest critic during those difficult transitional years in the later Sixties, and the revised image is richer. But it seems a pity that we couldn't have had both.
